HILEMAN, Lillian Inez (Granny)

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, June 15, 2011 Lillian Inez “Granny” Hileman, 85, of Wheatfields passed away Friday, May 27, 2011, at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center in Globe, Ariz. She was born in Wayoville, Ala. on March 26, 1926, the daughter of Elora (Shrader) and Luther E. Matthews. Lillian was a member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, attending the VFW, playing cards; Lillian loved her cockatiel Jimmy and her dog Bear but above all she loved being with her family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel M. Hileman; one daughter, Brenda Crawford; one grandson, Terry Crawford, Sr.; her parents; and one brother, Luther “Jr.” Matthews. Lillian leaves behind in loving memory her husband, Jim Mitchell of Wheatfields; one daughter, Judy (Rodney) Smart of Globe; son-in-law Douglas Crawford of Wheatfields; three stepchildren; three brothers, Orville Matthews of Central Heights, Jack Matthews of Globe and Richard Matthews of Central Heights; two sisters, Betty Jeffcoat of Glendale, Ariz. and Clara Deroach of Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Tina Poeling, Elizabeth Angel, Jenifer Webster and Cassandra Gooding; 17 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
