Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, June 15, 2011 Manuela Duarte, age 86 of Beaumont, Calif. passed away on June 8, 2011 at Cherry Valley Health Care in the loving arms of her daughter, Linda Martinez. She was born Dec. 21, 1924 in Lordsburg, N.M. Manuela was a loving homemaker all her life, wonderful house wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an avid reader of the Word of God, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved the open outdoors, dining, flowers, cats and dogs. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Adelfino Gonzales in 1954; son, Adelfino Gonzales, Jr. in 1968; second husband, George Duarte in 1987; daughter, Lucy Morales in 1995; and grandson, Andrew Morales in 2005. Survivors are daughters, Linda (Ernest) Martinez and Paula (Bobby) Richardson; sons, Alfonso Gonzales and Johnny (Jane) Gonzales; 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. with a small funeral service on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 10 a.m., both at Weavers Mortuary in Beaumont, Calif. with burial following at Cemetery in Beaumont.
