Alice M. Belcher, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home in Ice House Canyon on June 3, 2011.
Alice was born in Goldfield, Nev. on Oct. 20, 1909. She lived in Aspen, Colo. before being brought to Globe in 1919. She lived on Copper Hill until she married and moved to Ice House Canyon, where she resided the rest of her life.
Alice was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist since 1935.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Belcher; daughter, Shirley Young; and son, John Sherwood Belcher.
Alice is survived by four daughters, Charlotte Belcher and Hazel Bertron of Globe, Evelyn Lundquist of Phoenix, and Ruth Cutter of Auburn, Calif.; three grandchildren, Chad (Alisha) Bertron of Decater, Texas, Alan (Lori) Bertron of Tucson, and Kamalene (Mike) Nelson of Flagstaff; three great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; and three step-great-grandsons.
In honor of Alice’s request, there were no services.
