CORDOVA, Cody Joseph

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Thursday, June 16, 2011 Cody Joseph Cordova, 20, was born Aug. 7, 1990, in Flagstaff, and tragically died on June 12, 2011, in Winslow. He was a 2008 Winslow High School graduate, employed by Safeway, Inc. for the last four years and currently preparing to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Cordova is survived by his two loving parents, Joe Cordova and Debra J. Harms; grandparents Leroy and Jean Harms; brothers Steve (Andrea) Cordova, Andy (Rachel) Cordova; his big little sister, Kathy (Doug) Warren; his uncle, Bill (Jill) Harms; nieces Jolena, Andrea, Shyenne and Adrianna; nephews Chase and Cooper; and numerous loving friends. He was preceded in death by Olivia Cordova; great-grandpa John Carrell; uncles Florence, Andy, Johnny, Alex Cordova; and most recenty his great-grandma, (Darlin) Minnie Carrell. Mr. Cordova loved life and lived it to the fullest in anything he did. Holy Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Viewing will be held during the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Celebrant is Father Frank Chacon. He will be laid to rest immediately following in Desert View Cemetery.
