The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, June 18, 2011 Steven Roy Andrus On June 14, 2011, our father, grandfather, brother, son and dear friend, Steven Roy Andrus of Prescott, Ariz., lost his battle with leukemia. He is survived by his ex-wife of 35 years, Diane Andrus; three children, David (Kathy) Andrus of Kaiserslatern, Germany, Brenda Wallace ("Uncle Bob") of Prescott, and Sharon Felker of Cordes Lakes; his niece and nephew whom he helped raise, William (Lisa) Adams of Phoenix and Rhonda (Adams) Smith; several grandchildren, Jessica, Elizabeth, Andrew, Brittany, Heidi, Stevie, Erika, Bradley and Tiffany, all of whom he is most proud! He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Andrus of Prescott; and his sisters Althea (John) Haynes of Texas and Susan (Mark) Whitener of California. He was preceded in death by his father Bertrum "Jesse" Andrus. He was born on May 19, 1947, in Adams, Mass. From there, the family moved to California and then would settle in Arizona, moving to the Prescott area in 1976. Steve worked many years for Gellhaus Engineering and then Engineering Testing Consultants (ETC) before his forced early retirement last year. Steve's passions in life were NASCAR auto racing, fishing and camping. The family's fondest memories were fishing and camping with dad. Family time and Thanksgiving get-togethers were always a joy!
