Donald Wayne Johnson, 59, died Dec. 22, 2006, at his home in Bayfield, Colo. He was a long-time resident of Camp Verde.
Mr. Johnson was born Sept. 30, 1947, in Santa Ana, Calif., the son of Arvid and Clara Johnson. He had been employed as a carpenter, photographer and in road construction. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Camp Verde and was a 4-H photo leader. His passion was his family, hunting, fishing, and camping with his grandchildren, and computers.
He is survived by his wife Charlene Johnson of Bayfield, Colo., children Greg Johnson of Camp Verde, Doug Johnson of Camp Verde, Charles Fisher of Bayfield, Colo., Ray Fisher of Cottonwood, Kim Knox of Bayfield, Colo., and Melissa Johnson of Bayfield, Colo.; brother Bob Johnson; sister Sylvia Hupp; and 15 grandchildren,
Cremation will occur at Hood Mortuary Crematory in Durango. Memorial services were at the First Baptist Church in Bayfield on Jan. 6.
