Mrs Belle Davis Dies At Yarnell
Funeral services for Mrs Belle Davis of Phoenix, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Lester Ruffner funeral home in Prescott. Services were conducted by the Rev J C Elmes, followed by interment in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs Davis died unexpectedly Christmas Eve at the home of her son, Marvin Davis, deputy sheriff of Yavapai county, where she had been visiting.
She was born in Kerrville, Tex., July 2, 1875 and had lived in Arizona about 25 years, the greater part of the time in Thompson valley.
In addition to her son Marvin, she is survived by six other sons: Lloyd and Henry, of Hillside; David and Isaac, of Phoenix; Edward of Mesa and Cpl. Boyd Davis of Oakland. Also four daughters: Mrs Lee Ray, of Patagonia; Mrs Martha Dowdy and Miss Viola Davis of Phoenix; Mrs Al Malti, of Seligman. There are 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her husband, J R Davis died in 1927.
