He was born 16 May 1919 in Bisbee-Warren, Arizona, son of Nellie Glenn Miller & Ralph Bryan Verfurth. He attended the University of California-Berkley. He married Marilynn Dee Jackson, deceased. Ralph was a WWII Decorated Veteran with six years of distinguished Air Corp Service, active member of Camp Verde VFW & The American Legion of Camp Verde, Chaplain. Past member of Phoenix Toastmasters, Phoenix Jaycees & Arizona Roundtable. He retired in 1984 from the Steel & Metals Industry. He leaves behind a family who loves him very much: one brother, John Leslie Verfurth (b. 9 August 1920) of Costa Mesa, California. Children: Steven Miller Verfurth of Scottsdale, Arizona & Sandra Denise Verfurth Ashworth (husband Larry) of Fountain Hills, Arizona. Grandchildren: Leisa Ashworth-Matthews (husband Dan) & Michael John Ashworth (wife Tammy Jo) both of Gilbert, Arizona. Jonathan Bryan Verfurth & Joshua Miller Verfurth of Scottsdale, Arizona.
