Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Saturday, June 18, 2011 - Edward Gerald Kotecki passed away June 14, 2011 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 64. He was born to Edward and Aldine (Kapusnik) Kotecki on May 14, 1947 in Natrona Heights, Pa. Following high school, Edward served proudly under the direction of the United States Army from Sept. 8, 1968 to Feb. 28, 1989 during the Vietnam Conflict. He was discharged as a very highly decorated Sergeant after 23 years of service. Ed was an avid knife and gun collector and he leaves behind his constant companion, “Little Mouse”, his beloved dog. Ed also leaves behind his beloved family, sons Jerry of Lake Havasu City and Troy of Okla.; daughters Deanna of Calif. and Robyn of Mo.; three grandchildren, Madison, Devon and Lily Ann. Funeral services will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. The Army National Guard will present full military honors.
