The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, June 22, 2011 John W. Ostema, age 63, passed away May 30 at home in Yarnell, Ariz. John was born Feb. 26, 1948 in Morrison, Ill., to James Bernard Ostema and Hildred Louise Piper Ostema. Following his schooling John served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 79 in Yarnell. John was an artist and very talented in many ways both artistically and mechanically. Memorial services with military honors will be held on Wednesday, June 29 at 11 a.m. at the Prescott National Cemetery with American Legion Post 79 Riders escorting John in procession from Wickenburg to Prescott that morning. Military honors will be rendered by Post 79 and Post 6 of Prescott. Friends may offer online condolences at www.wickenburgfuneralhome.com.
