Catherine Ann Renter passed away at her home June 16, 2011, at age 70. She was born Nov. 24, 1940, in Cleveland, to Albert and Lena (Lamantia) George.
Cathy moved to Phoenix in 1957, and began nurse training at St. Joseph’s Hospital while still in high school. She had been a registered nurse for more than 50 years and made many friends while working in the emergency rooms. Cathy worked at the hospitals in Lake Havasu City and Needles, Calif., for more than 30 years, and taught birthing classes for many years. She loved her work but because of health reasons, had to retire before she was ready to.
Cathy leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Kenneth Renter; son, Cameron Renter, of Buckeye; brother, Tony George, of Glendale; and sister, Gina Engelman, of Prescott. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lena.
