Prescott Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, October 3, 2007 Evelyn Dolores Hoehne, age 98, of Prescott, Ariz., died Sept. 30, 2007 at Willow Wind Residences in Prescott. Evelyn was born on July 1, 1909, on a farm near Emmet, Neb., to John and Mary Pruss. In high school she played piano, was editor of the school newspaper and Valedictorian. In 1928, she was hired by Nebraska School Dist. 90 to teach in the same one room school she had attended as a child. She married Otto Carl Hoehne on June 6, 1934, in Emmet. The couple farmed near Emmet until moving to Boulder, Colorado where they started a dairy. Evelyn was a farm wife, taught piano lessons, became an accomplished seamstress, a great cook and wonderful friend to many. Upon retirement, the couple moved to Estes Park, Colo., where they hiked with their many friends. They moved to Mesa, Ariz., in 1969 where they lived for 34 years before moving to Willow Wind Residence. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by husband Otto in 2005; son-in-law Joseph Tomlinson; granddaugh ter Laurie Marchand; and great granddaughter Alyssa Marchand. She is survived by daughter Dolores Tomlinson; son Otto (Gene) Hoehne and wife Cindy; grandchildren Don Tom linson, Erich, Deborah and Sarah Hoehne, Donovan Allen, William Marchand; and great grandchildren Nick and wife Jennifer Marchand, Luke, Josh and Jacob Marshand; and many nieces and nephews. Services include a Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at Heritage Memory Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prescott. Interment to follow at Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey, Ariz.
