The Prescott Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, October 21, 2007 On October 16, 2007, surrounded by his family in N.J., William Eckle, Jr., age 79, passed away. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (nee Witherspoon). William will be remembered as the loving father of William Eckle III, (Chris) and Christina Wyse (Jeff), grandfather of William IV, Kellan, Jenny, Robb (Michele) and Scott, great-grandfather of Casmir, Tori, Sophia and Gabrielle; dear brother of Robert Eckle (Cathy). He is also survived by long-time companion Virginia Lard and best friend Percy Cotton. Services are private at the convenience of the family. A gathering took place at the home of Christina and Jeff Wyse in Turnersville, on Saturday. Oct. 20. A similar gathering will be at Bill III's home in Phoenix later this year. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Williams's memory to the United Way of Camden County, 196 Newton Ave., Camden, NJ 08013, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
