The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, June 28, 2006 Rose Pauk, 78, of Prescott, passed away May 27, 2006, at Las Fuentes Care Center, surrounded by family, after courageously battling cancer. Rose was born Nov. 8, 1927, in Irvington, Neb., to Magnus and Christina Brondum. She attended school in Blair, Neb., and graduated from Blair High School in 1944. Rose and George, her husband of 56 years, have been residents of Prescott for 50 years. Together they owned and operated Pauk TV for 36 years and were active in the Mile High Square Dancing Club and the Yavapai Rolling Squares. They enjoyed many years of traveling around the country in their RV, missing only 2 states in their travels. Rose was a lifelong Nebraska Corn Husker fan and has enjoyed the Suns and Diamondbacks. Rose also enjoyed her recent involvement in the Red Hat Society. Rose will be deeply missed by her husband, George; her children, Denise Slick (Dave) of Mesa, Ariz., Debra Kack (Tom) of Prescott, Ariz., Ronald Pauk (Barb) of Littleton, Colo., and Pamela Abbe (Scott) of Chandler, Ariz.; her brother Tage (Nancy) Brondum of St. George, Utah; her seven grandchildren, Kristi, Linsey, Derek, Michael, Bryan, Katy and James; and many extended family members and friends. Memorial services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, June 2, at the American Lutheran Church, 1085 Scott Drive, Prescott, Arizona. The family suggests donations in Rose's name to Hospice Family Care, Inc, 100 East Sheldon St., Suite 100, Prescott, AZ 86301. he Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
