Copper Basin News Hayden, Az. 6/24/2011 Salvador Richard Santa Maria, “Richie Elvis”, 64, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011, at his home in Hayden. He was born in Hayden on May 18, 1947. Richie was well known for his appreciation of Elvis Presley, and, “Love me Tender.” He enjoyed Michael Jackson, with the “Beat It!” tones, as well. Three sisters and two brothers, survive: Lupe Carranzo, Antonia Romero and Mercedes (Manuel) Miranda, each of Hayden; Frank (Kim) Santa Maria of Sierra Vista and Jesus (Cecilia) Santa Maria Jr. of Hayden. There are also lots of nieces and nephews. On Friday, June 24, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, a visitation is set for 9:30 a.m., with the Rosary recited at 10:30 a.m., and, the Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Dale Branson at 11. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden. Griffith Mortuary assisted the family.
