The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 06/24/2011 Billy Truax entered into rest June 19, 2011, in Carrizo. He was born Sept. 24, 1934, in Carrizo. He will be dearly missed by all but never forgotten. Billy is survived by his wife, Bernice Ethelbah Truax; sons: James Truax, Melvin Truax; grandchildren: Jameson Truax, Nichole Truax, Jamie Truax, Jeremiah Gatewood; sister Helen (Truax) Tso; traditional goddaughters: Jackie (Quintero) Antonio, Beverdine Dazen, Meldina (Bush) Lupe, Junita Charley; 23 great-great grandchildren; numerous friends and relatives. A wake will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at his residence (East Locust Street #6) in Whiteriver. Home services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at the family residence in Whiteriver with Pastor officiating. Interment will be held at the Hilltop Cemetery in Carrizo. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
