He was born in Durham, Maine in 1923 to Benjamin and Hazel (Brown) Small. He moved to Arizona in 1980. William was husband of 61 years to Elizabeth (Betty); a loving father to Lenore Kneeshaw, Wayne R., William J. and Pruett E.; grandfather of seven; and great grandfather of four.
