Donald Ernest Wyckoff, 76, of Rimrock, died Feb. 12, 2007, at home. Don was born Nov. 16, 1930, in New York City to Francis and Gladys Wyckoff.
Don faithfully served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Don loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He was a licensed Arizona hunting guide and always enjoyed this work. He also worked many years for the Postal Service as well as giving of his time as a volunteer for the special events held in Camp Verde.
Don was a proud member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Don is survived by his wife Frances of Rimrock; his mother, Gladys Abel of Massachusetts; his daughter, Kimberly Germaine of Flagstaff; his sons, Jeffrey Wyckoff of Munds Park, Steve Wyckoff of Rimrock, and Gary Wyckoff of Washington State; his step-son, Robert Darrah of Rimrock; his step-daughters, Jarrette Hays, Terrill Miller, and Robin Darrah all of Phoenix; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, Feb. 17, at 2 p.m. at Sycamore Park in Lake Montezuma. Don will be laid to rest with full military honors at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 12:30 p.m. Bueler Funeral Home assisted the family.
