The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ February 18, 2007 Peter A. Cox, 70, died Feb. 12, 2007, at his home in Camp Verde. He was born Nov. 24, 1936, in Boulder, Colo. He served six years in the U.S. Army in post-World War II Germany. He was also a career employee of the airline industry, serving many years for Pan American Airways in managerial and in-flight capacities. He was a crewmember on the historic Pan Am flight over the South Pole. He is survived by his brother Alexander Drummond of Longmont, Colo.; daughter Annette Buhlert of Reisters Town, Md.; sons Achim Von Oertzen of Manila, Philippines, and Andrew Von Oertzen of Wiesbaden, Germany; four adopted children Gabriela Saxton, Renee Aziles, Mauricio Cox, all of Phoenix, and Maria Olga Foshay of Alta Loma, Calif.; and 14 grandchildren.
