Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Thursday, June 23, 2011 - Bettina Maria Matakiewicz started her new journey early morning Tuesday, June 21, 2011. She was a bright light to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed. Bettina is survived by Bobby, her lifetime partner; son, Jonathan Matakiewicz; mother, Tina Matakiewicz; brothers, Robert, David and Paul Matakiewicz, and Mike Lamount Sr.; sisters Corrine Jacobson, Cathey Lamont and Vicky Matakiewicz; and many nieces and nephews. Being a longtime resident of Lake Havasu City, she moved from Las Vegas, where her relatives reside. Services will be at Lietz-Fraze Chapel 2 p.m. Saturday. Pastor Mel Soderberg will offer words of comfort and inspiration. She will be interred with her father at Palm Mortuary in Las Vegas, at a later date. “May she fly with the angels and God keep her.” In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bettina’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 2929 E.
