Carol passed away May 5, 2011, at the age of 86 in Lake Havasu City. She was born to Sylvia (Fell) and Harry Knotts in Milford, Iowa, June 28, 1924.
Carol grew up in Iowa City, Iowa, and graduated from City High School in 1942. Following graduation, she moved to California and attended UCLA. After marrying, Carol traveled across Europe and South America with her husband. They later lived in upstate New York and Seattle, Wash., before settling in Schaumburg, Ill., to raise their children, Mike and Laura.
After Warren passed away, Carol returned to Iowa City in 1981. She kept busy with volunteer work at the local hospital, church activities and travel. She was a member of Eastern Star and DAR.
She moved to Lake Havasu City in 2005, and enjoyed being close to her grandsons. Carol loved being a mom, but even more so, a grandma. One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren, to whom she taught so much.

Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
