The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ February 13, 1969 Mrs Rebecca Jones Killed In Collision Mrs Rebecca Jones of Wickenburg, wife of Bill Jones, who was killed in a head-on collision a half mile west of Aguila the morning of February 7, became the first highway fatality of the year in the Wickenburg highway patrol area. According to the patrol Mrs Jones, age 44, was driving east in her car, alone, when the vehicle went over the curb, swung back, crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a westbound vehicle driven by Wilbur Broyles, age 59, of Santa Monica, Calif. Mrs Jones died at the scene. Mr Broyles, western division manager for Bausch & Lomb, the well known optical company, was brought to community Hospital here and then moved to the John C. Lincoln Hospital in Sunnyslope. He was en route to his home after attending a company convention in Phoenix when the accident occurred.
