Charles J. Siroky, 89, of Sedona Arizona, died October 20, 2001. He was born and educated in Cicero, Illinois.
He met his wife, Mary Jane (Nellans) while serving with the U.S. Marine Corps at Great Lake Naval Training Center in Waukegan, Illinois. After marriage and the birth of their children in that city, they moved to southern California and in 1950 to Sedona, Arizona.
In Sedona, he founded C.J. Siroky and Sons, a construction company involved in both residential and commercial construction projects in the Sedona/Oak Creek Canyon area. He retired in 1977.
His wife of 52 years, Mary Jane, preceeded him in death by 13 years.
She was active in many Sedona community activities.
Charley enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, bowling and travel in times past, but in his latter years was quite content to stay home with his pet dog, a miniature Schnauzer named Woofie. They would walk almost daily and thoroughly enjoyed each other's company.
Three sons survive Charley: Dr. Charles L. Siroky (Gayle) of Phoenix, Mr. David M. Siroky (Bonnie) of Phoenix, Mr. Daniel W. Siroky (Debbie) of Mesa eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 27, 2001, 11:00am, Christ Church of the Ascension Episcopal Church, 4015 E. Lincoln Dr., Paradise Valley, Arizona.
His family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and support.
