The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ May 1, 1969 MERTIE STOUT Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 20 at the East Memorial Chapel in Texarkana, Tex., for Mrs Mertie M. Stout, a former resident of Wickenburg where she operated for a number of years the Mertie Wales Beauty Shop. She had a wide acquaintance here at the time. Following the funeral services, burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery near DeKalb, Tex. Mrs Stout was born near Mineola, Tex., August 13, 1899. She lived in Arizona 27 years, returning to Texas seven years ago. She had lived in Texarkana the last two years. Survivors include one son C. Lex of Odessa, Tex..; one sister, Mrs W. E. Thompson of Phoenix and three brothers, Howard L. Martin and W. W. Martin, both of Dallas, Tex., and Freeman Martin of Texarkana. Two grandsons also survive.
