Edward L. Mays, 59, of Parks, died June 22, 2011, of lung cancer. He was born April 22, 1952, in Los Angeles.

Mr. Mays was a Federal Express courier and a member of the Ponderosa Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, boating and camping with family. He loved to fix anything and everything.

Mr. Mays is survived by his wife, Mary Mays; daughter Marissa Hunt (Tim) of New Jersey; son Michael (Heather) of Flagstaff; sisters Bernadine Mowry and Mary Lou; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Edward.

A memorial service was June 29 at Maine Consolidated School in Parks.
