REEVES, Leo Howard

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, June 29, 2011 Leo Howard Reeves Dec. 5, 1931 - June 12, 2011 Leo Howard Reeves passed away at his home in Davenport, Iowa, on June 12, 2011. He leaves behind his wife Carol; four children; his niece Linda Dupre in New York; and his sister Gladys Blanchard in Prescott Valley, Ariz. While living in Prescott Valley, he played piano with various country/western groups. He formed a group of his own that played classic country, which included Gary Hood on steel guitar and Mel Reynolds on bass. The group appeared on Prescott's TV Channel 13 and was awarded Entertainer of the Year from the Arizona Country Music Association. He was a member of the Hamilton Lodge #664 AF&AM in Bettendorf, Iowa, where he became a mason in 1986. Information provided by survivors.
