HEROUX, George Armand


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, June 29, 2011 George Armand Heroux, 93, passed away June 25, 2011, at the VA Hospice Unit. He was born Oct. 10, 1917, in Berlin, N.H. He moved his family to Prescott, Ariz., in 1963 after a New Jersey doctor told him the dry air would be good for him. He served his country in WWII and was a good provider, teacher and friend to his family. He enjoyed the stock market and invested in stocks until shortly before he died. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Frances, in 2009. He is survived by daughters Germaine (Arnold) Osborne of Maine, Madeleine (Jeff) Osborn and Michele (Steven) Pearson, both of Prescott; son Stephen (Debra) of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother Richard (Beverly) of Severna Park, Md.; and sister Lorna Galloway of Lake Worth, Fla. He left numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please remember and support the men and women who serve our country.
