The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 26, 1969, p. 11 SALLIE BENJAMIN Mrs Sallie Benjamin, who observed her 90th birthday at her home at the Valle Vista Trailer Park January 17 of this year, died June 20 in Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o’clock from the Wickenburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Bert Follmar of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating and burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mrs Benjamin was born in Hillsboro, Ohio and lived in the states of Kansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico before coming to Arizona. She made her home here with her daughter Mrs Lucuren Black, who with two others daughters and three sons survive. The sons are Willard Benjamin, local café operator; Laurel Benjamin, Magdalena, N. M. and Lloyd Benjamin, Santa Fe. The two other daughters are Mrs T. O. Ragsdale, Grananda Hills, Calif., and Mrs Glenn Mitchell, San Bernardino, Calif., formerly of Wickenburg. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchild and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
