The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 3, 1969, p. 11 MRS ENGESSER Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wickenburg Funeral Home, for Mrs Merinda Frances Engesser, age, 86, who died in the Warfield Nursing Home, Prescott June 27. The Rev. E. H. Iler of the Assembly of God Church officiated and burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. A native of San Antonio, Texas, where she was born January 27, 1883, Mrs Engesser had lived in Arizona since 1900 and in the Wickenburg area since 1918. She had been in the nursing home the past five years. The survivors include eight children, three of them, Otto and Charles Baker and Mrs Charlotte Long, living in Wickenburg. The others are Margaret James, Phoenix; Lena Gilbert, Prescott; Bernitta Reynolds, Roosevelt, Utah; Jessie Morris, Spokane, Wash., and Martha bell, Fresno, Calif, also two sisters, Mrs Lena K. Coleman of Wickenburg and Mrs Cora Bales of Pomona, Calif. Twenty-six-grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.
