Barbara Florence Gilchrist passed away June 9, 2011, in Lake Havasu City at the age of 81. She was born and raised in Cambridge, Mass., May 9, 1930.
Barbara married her best friend, Richard Gilchrist, Feb. 3, 1952. She made Lake Havasu her home 10 years ago from Tewksburg, Mass., where she was a long-time resident and a member of the St. Williams Church.
Barbara leaves behind her beloved daughter, Arlene Gilchrist; sister, Frances Cobb; two grandchildren, Erin and Steve Gilchrist and great grandson, Danielle Gilchrist. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Alma (Fredette) Woodbury; her husband of 47 years, Richard; brothers, Paul and Edward Woodbury; and three sisters, Rosalie Lyons, Margie Woodbury and Doris Woodbury. “Nana, rest in peace with Papa."
The family would like to thank Hospice of Havasu for their help through this difficult time. Donations are requested to go in Barbara’s memory to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.
