The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 2, 1969, p. 1 Mother and Babe Killed Near Wenden Sgt. Richard Lee Hanson, 24-year-old soldier stationed at Ft. Bliss, Tex., was brought to community Hospital here with injuries received the morning of September 25 in a car-truck collision on U. S. 60 near Wenden. His wife Edith Darlene, age 25, was dead at the scene; their 4-month-old son Claude was dead on arrival at the hospital. The Highway Patrol said the small foreign car in which the Hanson were riding, and driven by Mrs Hanson, struck the side of a semi-truck driven by Arthur Heaney, 30, of Moore, Alabama.
