Robert L. Hutchins
Bob was born in Colorado and, as a boy, moved to California. In high school, he played football, and then turned his athletic prowess to the sport of judo. He competed in championships across the nation, and eventually became a 6th-degree blackbelt.
He met his bride-to-be in high school; they married and had four children. His faith in Jesus Christ led him to the mission field of Mexico, where he and his family lived and served faithfully for 16 years.
When he returned to the United States, he continued with his trade, and owned his own print shop.
Upon retirement, Bob and his wife Marilyn moved to Dewey, Ariz., where they attended Harvest Bible Chapel, and were active in various ministries of the church.
Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years; four children; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Bob's life will take place 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Harvest Bible Chapel, 6711 E. 2nd Street, Prescott Valley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harvest Bible Chapel, 7515 E. Long Look Drive, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314, "in memory of Bob Hutchins."
