EAKINS, Michael R.

The Prescott Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, October 16, 2006 Michael R. Eakins, age 47, passed away October 8, 2006. He was born October 24, 1958, in Wichita, Kan., to Arthur R. and Peggy L. (Tipton) Eakins. Michael loved his family. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Angie; his loving and caring family, which includes his daughters, Jennifer, Amber, Michaela; his son, Brad; his grandchildren, Damien, Dylan and Brennon; his parents, Art and Peggy Eakins; sister, Cathy; brother, Mark; nieces and nephews, David, Ariel, Chrissy and Julie; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Michael's daughters and grandsons were the light of his life and he was very family oriented. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents. Michael enjoyed the out doors, especially hunting and fishing. Michael was a jeweler for 32 years and owned Michael's Fine Jewelry Store in Prescott Valley, Ariz., and it was a great achievement for him. Please join the family for a celebration of Mike's life on Thursday, October 12, 2006, at 5 p.m., at the Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel, 8167 E. Highway 69, Prescott Valley, Ariz. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Michael's honor be made to your favorite charity.
