WATSON, Carol Gene


The Prescott Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, October 22, 2006 Carol Gene Watson followed her Lighthouse beacon home to heaven on October 20, 2006, at her home in Prescott, Arizona. Carol was born on November 20, 1947, at Camp Stoneman in Pittsburgh, Calif., to Carl E. and Gladys F. (Parkison) Watson. Carol grew up an Army brat living in Japan and California. She moved to Phoenix in 1973 and to Prescott in 1979. Carol was the best bar tender at The Hut for many years before returning to her vocation as an accountant for the Yavapai County Health Dept, retiring in November 2005 after 14 years. Carol's joys in life were her family, being by the water, yard sales and traveling to lighthouses in the U.S. and abroad. Carol was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 6. Carol is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Manchester; grandchildren, Cameron, Candice and Jacob Manchester; son-in-law, Clint W. Manchester; sister, Sue Jory; longtime friends, Bob and Jodie Herod, all of Prescott. She is also survived by nieces, Debbie (Jim) Meaddows and Susan (Bob) Mora; uncles, Ernest and Paul Watson; and aunt, Stella Bliss. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Gladys Watson. Visitation will be held at Heritage Memory Mortuary at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, followed by the service at 2 p.m. Interment will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made in Carol's name to YRMC Hospice, 3262 N. Windsong, Prescott Valley, Arizona, 86314, restricted account or the charity of your choice, Services were entrusted to Heritage Memory Chapel. Information provided by survivors.
