The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, July 05, 2011 Dale C. James, 68, of Chino Valley, Ariz., born Oct. 9, 1942, in Riverside, Calif., passed away July 4, 2011, in Prescott. Services will be 11 a.m. July 7, 2011, at the Northern Arizona VA Chapel in Prescott. Committal with military honors will be 11 a.m. July 8 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, Ariz. James, 68 lost his battle with cancer July 4, 2011 at Yavapai Medial Center. He was born October 9, 1942 in Riverside California. He was the son of Cleo and Ruth James. Dale graduated in 1960 from Riverside Polytechnic High School. After high school he joined the Marines. After his military career he studied law enforcement and criminal investigation at Riverside City College, Loma Linda University, Contra Costa College and Chabot Junior College. Dale lived a life of dedicated military and public service. He worked for law enforcement agencies in California and Colorado. In 1976 he married his sweetheart Bobbie James of Chino Valley. They celebrated 34 years of marriage in November. Dale is survived by his beloved wife, Bobbie James; his son Dale W. James and his daughter Mary D. Harrison, 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He touched many lives and his smile and great sense of humor will be missed by all of his family, co-workers and countless friends. A service of remembrance will be held at 11am on Thursday July 7th 2011at the Prescott V.A. Chapel. Interment will be held at Phoenix National Cemetery on Friday July 8th at 11am.
