Gladys Kelley of Glendale, Ariz., passed away June 27. She was born in Kelley, Mont., on July 16, 1929.
She was a lover of the Montana mountains, but it was the Arizona desert that warmed her heart, causing her to move to Arizona in 1969. She worked as a medical records librarian and carried her skills with her to the Salome Medical Center and then to Boecon Construction Company, working on the Central Arizona Project. She directed several singing groups, including the Wickenburg Christmas Choir in 1997-1998. Gladys was a proud survivor of polio since being diagnosed in 1952.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim Kelley. Surviving children are Christine Mott, Eugene, and James Larson, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Our mother, our friend, and a great Canasta player will be missed.
In lieu of flowers please make any donations to Hospice of the Valley.
