RODGERS, Thomas Darwin (Tom)


The Prescott Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, November 29, 2007 Thomas Darwin Rodgers was born June 16, 1911, in Pueblo, Colo. He went home to be with his Heavenly Father Nov. 27, 2007. He was 96 years old. Tom, as we all knew him, proudly served as a T-4 in the United States Army and was a decorated veteran of World War II. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Army, Tom married the love of his life, Mae Curry Moody, in 1948. They were married for 59 years, several of which were spent living and working at the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. After his retirement from Crown- Zeilerbach, Tom enjoyed many years of traveling abroad with his wife, and he had the stories to tell and pictures to show to anyone interested. He also loved to golf and to watch the Diamondbacks baseball team. Tom was a member of Westside Christian Church on Williamson Valley Road in Prescott, Ariz. He had served on the Board of Trustees at Prescott Valley Christian Church. He is survived by his wife Mae Curry Rodgers of Prescott, Ariz.; his nephews Wesley Moody and Charles Oldham of California; his nieces Eda Mae Hatch of Virginia and Maurice Logget of Texas.
