Our beloved brother, uncle, and step-dad spread his wings and flew home to be with God, three of his sisters, his parents Hiram and Amy (nee Stewart) Parkman and his wives Lotus (nee Taylor) and Mary (nee Taylor).
He was born on Jan. 12, 1908, in Buckeye, Arizona Territory. He worked for Bureau of Land Management as a surveyor. He went on to work for Goodyear Tire and Rubber in their Farms Division. He enjoyed Western movies (mostly the oldies) and Louis L’Amour.
He was a great storyteller - and loved to tell them to all he met. Our family's favorite was about "the skunk hunt" (did I say he had no sense of smell?), and he had great gardens!
He is survived by his "baby" sister (96) Merle, who lives in Texas with her daughter, Susie; many nieces and nephews; Nancy, Terry and Dixie, the three daughters of his lifelong friend, Louis Tisdale. Also surviving are step-sons Paul and Gary Gray; niece/ stepdaughter Su-Z Bare; grandchildren Tim and Amy Stegall and their families; Stephanie and Ed Rudser and their daughters Grace and Ashleigh; and granddaughters Laura and Nicole.
There were no services per his request.
God bless you "#1 Unk." We all love and miss you so much! Love, Su-Z
