Visitation will be 10 a.m. with services following at 11 a.m. July 13, 2011, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton streets in Prescott. The Lord then called her home on Friday, July 1, 2011, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz. She was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Prescott, Ariz., the daughter of Herbert and Beatriz (Tapia) Folston. Virginia was 85 years old. A lifelong Arizona resident, she enjoyed crafts, sewing and taking care of her brother, John. Virginia is survived by her sister Caroline Folston Dominguez; brothers John Carranza, Ernest Gomez, Larry Gomez, Tony Gomez; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Georgia Rivera and brother Billy Folston. A visitation will start at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011, followed by a celebration of Virginia's life at 11 a.m. at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton streets in Prescott.
