The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, January 14, 2007 Geri E. Davis, 66, of Prescott, born Oct. 21, 1940 in Manchester, Conn., died Dec. 21, 2006, in Prescott. A celebration of life will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, a Hillside Church in Hillside, Ariz. Arrangements by Sunrise Funeral Home. ------------------- The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, December 24, 2006 Geraldine Elizabeth Davis, age 66, a Prescott resident since 1989, went to her heavenly home on Dec. 21, 2006. Affectionately known as Geri, she was born to Anthony and Frances Lombard in Manchester, Connecticut, on Oct. 21, 1940. She moved with her family to San Diego in 1955. After marriage to Marvin Davis in October 1960, she trained as an editor and writer on small newspapers, eventually owning and operating her own editing and typesetting shop until her husband's retirement and move to Prescott. There she worked for Poynter Appraisal until 1996. Geri and Marvin shared 46 years together. Geri edited many books for Prescott authors, and wrote articles, essays and stories for various local and national publications. She was a member of local writing groups the Professional Writers of Prescott, and the Northern Arizona Romance Writers Association. She enjoyed banking, gardening and made many quilts for family and friends. Her faith in our Lord and Savior was of utmost importance, and she especially valued church, her Bible studies and prayer groups. Geri is survived by her beloved husband, Marvin, of Prescott; their son, James; daughter-in-law Sandra; and grandchildren Jamie and Carson, all of San Diego, Calif. Geri is also survived by her devoted Australian cattle dog, Gypsy Rose. She is predeceased by son, Alan. A celebration of Geri's life will be at a later date.
