Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Saturday, July 09, 2011 Modesta Clark, 98, of Fort Defiance, died July 6, 2011. Services will be Monday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at Valley Baptist Church, 300 E. Mahoney, in Winslow. Mahoney, in Winslow, AZ, with Pastor Joseph Lee officiation. Interment to follow at Desert View Cemetery. In Fort Defiance Indian Hospital on Wed. July 6, 2011, Modesta was called home to be with our heavenly Father. Modesta was born April 12, 1913 in Leupp, AZ. She mastered rug weaving at an early age, and did work at the Winslow Indian Hospital for 35 years. She was a tremendous sister, mother and grandma to all her family and loved ones. She is survived by daughters; Carol Flores, Marie Setella; sons, Don Clark, Carl Boyd Clark, William Dixon Jr., Melvin Douglas Franklin, Emory Dixon, Sr., Raymond Dixon. Preceded in death by daughter, Rose Ann Roberts; sons, Earl Dixon, Gilbert Dixon and Milton Dixon.
