Born August 7, 1971, he was employed by Nestlé Purina, was a graduate of Flagstaff High School. He will be remembered as a son, grandson, father, brother, and friend. Rene is survived by his Grandmother; Mary Montoya, father; Richard Montoya, both of Camp Verde, brothers; Richard Montoya of Las Vegas, NV, Russell (Lillian) Montoya, sisters; Cathriene (Gildardo) Rodriguez, Cynthia Gomez, Lisa Montoya, Sara Montoya, companion ; Melinda Ashley, children Ashley Mario and Guadalupe Montoya, many nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his mother Rose Montoya. A Holy Rosary will be held Friday, July 8, 2011 at 10:00 am followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 both at St. Pius X Center, 2257 E. Cedar Ave., interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
