Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Thursday, July 7, 2011 11:13 PM MST Angela (“Lu Lu”) Renae Hernandez Warne, 34, died unexpectedly July 3, 2011, surrounded by her family and friends in Blythe, Calif. Angela was born June 24, 1977, in Fort Morgan, Colo., to her loving parents, Lena Schlegel-Hernandez and Manuel Hernandez, the second child of their union. In 1977, the family moved to Casper, Wyo., where she resided until 1999. Angela attended elementary school at North Casper and Paradise Valley, junior high at CY, and high school at Natrona County. Angela obtained her GED in 1997. Angela met her husband, Bret, in 1996, and they were married June 13, 2001, in Las Vegas. They resided in Scotsbluff, where both their children, Alex (10) and Brandon (6), were born. Alex and Brandon, whom she loved dearly, were the most important part of her life. In 2005, the family moved to Lake Havasu City. Angela began working at Mohave State Bank in Havasu, where she started as a personal banker and later advanced to business-development officer. She was very involved in her community, serving on the Rotary Club, Ambassadors Club at the Chamber of Commerce as a board member and volunteered at the Salvation Army. She also developed and participated in a program that taught the local elementary children about money management. Angela’s strengths were her vibrant, outgoing personality and her ability to make friends with anyone. Her smile could light up a room. and she had a great sense of humor. Angela was loved by all who knew her. Angela is survived by her husband, Bret Warne, and their two sons, Alex and Brandon, all of Mesa; parents Lena Schlegel-Hernandez and Manuel Hernandez, both of Casper; her father and mother-in-law, Craig and Cheryl Warne, of Gilbert; her maternal grandmother, Flora Schlegel of Fort Morgan, Colo.; her older brother, Clinton Hernandez (Molly) of Casper; younger brother, Daniel Hernandez (Jamie) of Casper; her brother-in-law, Charles (Maria) and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by an older brother, paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, paternal aunt and paternal uncles. Services for Angela are 10 a.m. Sunday at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 W. Juniper, Gilbert. A viewing will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday. She will be laid to rest in Fort Morgan Wednesday.
