Lamont Mortuary of Globe, Globe, Arizona Joseph A. Oddonetto, age 55, of Globe, Arizona passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was born in Globe, AZ on April 16, 1956. Son of Peter and Joan (Penegor) Oddonetto He was a 1974 Globe High School graduate and attended the Scottsdale Culinary Art School. He owned and operated Joe’s Grill restaurant in Globe. Preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mary E. Oddonetto in Aug. 27, 2006 Joe is survived by his brothers; Peter, David, John and Bill Oddonetto, his sisters; Cinder Gardner and Dianne Mensch Visitation will be on Sunday, July 10, 2011 @ 5:00 P.M. @ Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe, AZ Followed by Rosary at 6:00 P.M. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 @ 10:00 A.M. @ Holy Angels Catholic Church. Interment will be at Globe Cemetery. ~~~~~~~~~~ Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, July 20, 2011 Joseph Almor Oddonetto was born in Globe, Ariz. on April 16, 1956, the son of Joan and Peter Oddonetto. He passed away on July 4, 2011, in Grand Junction, Colo. Joe was raised in Globe, went to Holy Angels Catholic School and graduated from Globe High School in 1974. He spent the first 10 years after high school working in the copper mining industry. Joe developed a love for cooking and made the decision to pursue a career in the culinary arts. Joe graduated from The Scottsdale Culinary Institute in 1989, worked as a chef and opened his own restaurant - Joe’s Broad Street Grill in Globe. He loved cooking, but more than that, he enjoyed interacting with his co-workers and customers and became a friend to many of them. Joe had a generous heart and had a way of making people feel welcome and loved. He often provided meals to people in need in the community, including the Presentation Sisters of Holy Angels, and never declined an opportunity to help others. In his spare time, he followed all Arizona sports teams and was a dedicated fan. Family was precious to Joe. Though he never married or had any children, he had close relationships with all of his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews – whether they lived near or far. He also maintained a strong personal relationship with his mother’s family in Michigan. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Joan (Penegor) Oddonetto, and his sister, Mary Oddonetto. He leaves behind four brothers, Peter Oddonetto of Globe; David Angela) Oddonetto of Boise, Idaho; John Oddonetto of Globe, Ariz.; and William (Karen) Oddonetto of West Bloomfield, Michigan; and two sisters, Cinder (Steven) Gardner of Grand Junction, Colo. and Dianne (Bill) Mensch of Superstition Mountain, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe will be greatly missed and joyfully remembered by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Knights of Columbus in Globe would be appreciated.
