Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, July 13, 2011 Evans Kitcheyan was born Dec. 8, 1938 to John T. and Mabel (Dosela) Kitcheyan in San Carlos, Ariz. Evans passed away at Banner Heart Hospital on July 6, 2011 at 11:45 p.m. surrounded by family and dear friends. He attended Rice Day School then graduated from Globe High School. He had attended several years at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz. He was employed by the San Carlos Police Department, Magma Mines and B.I.A. Road Dept. in San Carlos, before retiring from Arizona Department of Transportation as a highway maintenance worker in 2003. Evans Kitcheyan, a very proud man, enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding in the mountain and the reservation. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He instilled “Family First.” He married Victoria (Kindelay) Kitcheyan in 1969. Together they had five children: Vincent Sr. (Desiree) Kitcheyan of Winnebago, Nev., Arthur (Angie) Kitcheyan of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughters: Abbie (Thomas Sr.) Patterson of San Carlos, Ariz. and Madlyn Kitcheyan of Tempe, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Kitcheyan-Antonio; his parents, John T. and Mabel Kitcheyan; his brothers, Arch, Arthur, Buster, Charles, Alexander, Donald, Edwin, Terry Sr., Buck Sr., Arnold and Rex. Evans was the last surviving son of the legacy of the Kitcheyan boys. Wake will be Friday, July 15, 2011 at 5 p.m. at Evans Kitcheyan’s residence/Belvado Park. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Rice School Gym. Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
