FRICK, Mary


Wickenburg (AZ) Sun Thursday, June 25, 1981, p 2 Mary Frick, 73, a native Arizonan and 30 year resident of Wickenburg, died on June 22 at St Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix. She grew up on Indian reservations where she became an expert trail rider and camper. She was the descendent of a pioneer family--the Vaughns--who started the first Indian Store in Phoenix. Along with her husband Henry Frick, she co-managed Frick's Indian Store in Wickenburg. A member of Las Damas for 30 years, she was also a charter member of Desert Saddlebags of Scottsdale and a founding member of St Alban's Episcopal Church and Altar Guild in Wickenburg. Survivors include her husband Henry; a son Mark, San Diego, Ca; a daughter Susi Phelps, Tempe; two sisters, Carolyn Johnson of Wickenburg and Estill Wilson of Sun City; two brothers, Frank Thompson, Gallup, NM, and Stewart Thompson of Sedona; and six grandchildren.
