Adela Chavez Montoya of Snowflake died July 10, 2011 at the Carriage House in Snowflake. Adela was born Sept. 27, 1919, in Navajo, N.M. to the late Juan and Lily (Chavez) Montoya.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Karen) Montoya of Lakeside; grandchildren: Adam Montoya of Scottsdale, Jessica Montoya, Nicolle Montoya both of Tempe, Christopher Montoya of Lakeside,; great-grandchildren: Shea, Alexis and Tatum Montoya as well as many family members of California and New Mexico.
