Ethel Ada Seager, Beloved mother, faithful wife and respected Grandmother, Ethel Ada (Hanser) Seager was taken by our lord to Heaven on July 7, 2003 in Tempe, Arizona.
Ethel was born February 2, 1911 in Saint Louis, MO, to Emil and Sarah (Boeger) Hanser, Emil and Sarah had a large loving family of seven children. Ethel had a twin sister, Estelle, and two other sisters, Mildred and Bernice and had three brothers Victor, Oscar and Walter. Ethel married Gilbert Benjamin Seager, June 29, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri. They moved to Fredericktown, MO, where Gilbert was Pastor of the Lutheran Church and taught eight grades of parochial school. Ethel helped him with his Pastoral duties and also taught in the school in the afternoon. Ethel's husband had a special gift for starting and revitalizing existing congregations which meant they moved frequently to several different states including Missouri, Wisconsin, California, Texas, and her favorite, Arizona. With each move, she left behind many faithful friends, good memories and new believers. They retired to Mountain Home, Arkansas where illness quickly took the life of Gilbert, her husband in 1972. She returned to Sedona, AZ to spend the remainder of her life actively serving her church and lovingly participating with the families of her two eldest daughters, Jean Sechrist and Carol Worischeck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Gilbert Seager; two daughters, Carol Worischeck and Barbara Klockziem; a son Gilbert Benjamin Seager; and a grandson Nathaniel Klockziem. Seager and Marie Seager of Milwaukee, WI, Dr. Gilbert Sechrist and Jean (Seager) Sechrist of Flagstaff, AZ and Karl and Peggy (Seager) Shuenemann of Boulder Junction, WI; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Hanser of St. Louise, MO; two sons-in-law Joseph Worischeck of Phoenix, AZ and Roger Klocksiem of New Ulm, MN; 18 grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
