Merle E. Ward, passed away peacefully at his home in Scottsdale on July 11, 2003.
He was born February 7, 1921, in Lafayette, IN.
Following his graduation from Purdue University, he served as an officer in the Army Signal Corps during World War II.
He spent his career with General Electric and Honeywell as an electrical engineer. He began his association with St. Barnabas on the Desert Episcopal Church in 1961, when he moved to Scottsdale.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Trudi Ward, of Scottsdale, two children: Linda Larkey of Scottsdale, and Bob Ward of San Rafael, CA, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2003, 1:00 PM at St. Barnabas On The Desert Episcopal Church, 6715 N. Mockingbird Lane.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2929 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
