ORTIZ, Presciliano (Press)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Monday, July 14, 2003 Presciliano "Press" Ortiz, 74, our beloved Papa passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2003. Press was born on November 16, 1928 in Pecos, NM, but resided in Phoenix the majority of his life. He served in the U.S. Army as a Green Beret Paratrooper. He leaves behind his beautiful wife of 47 wonderful years, Sylvia, his daughter Catarina (Blaine), grandson Jason (Monica), and 4 great grandchildren who were the Pride and Joy of his life; Victoria, Quentin, Samantha and Garrett. He also leaves 2 brothers Victor and Jacinto, sister Susie, many nephews and nieces and so many friends. Our Papa was a gentle man of strong integrity and honor. He is already greatly missed by all who love and know him. We love you Papa, Vaya con Dios. Visitation and Vigil will be held at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd., Tuesday, July 15th, 5-7 pm with Rosary starting at 7pm. Funeral services on Wednesday, July 16th, 10am., St. Augustine Catholic Church, 3630 N. 71st Ave.
